This line from the famous song by the Eagles, "Hotel California" recently triggered off a series of thoughts.....
Amazing, to note that the feeling of being trapped, made worse by the knowledge that it is all one's own doing has been present for ages. There is no "chance" in the world. Every action is a conscious / subconscious decision by an individual, and every incident is a reaction to a decision / action taken.
The song also triggers different emotions everytime i listen to it. It feels like a tribute to the human spirit while being cynical about the hypocrits in all of us.
The next time you feel like complaining, listen to the song. It will do wonders. At least, it does, to me ! :)

Hmm.. Its worse than you think. What if, every decision, and hence the action are the results of previous actions? and the previous action, the result of more previous actions..
We think "we made a decision" The reason why we made that decision will be your past experience along with your social circumstances. You dont have any stake on both of them. Which means, the decision you took was not yours.! it was a result of something, which you dont have any control of!!
So, if you think, you passed a test because of your efforts, think twice!! you cant change your destiny!! You cant change now, what you will be five years from now!!
If you get me the way i meant it, you might feel this little "spikes" of depression around you for a while, until you forget it!!
life is not what many of us think it is.
